The Environment Bank is excited to announce the addition of new team members to help with the continued successful growth of the business in 2019.
James Cross, joins to work with planning authorities and developers on the concepts of habitat banking for off-site biodiversity net-gain delivery. James most recently spent four years as the Chief Executive of Natural England and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team.
Nigel Reader and Dr Tim Norman have joined as Non-Executive Directors on the Board to help shape the company and provide commercial and governance expertise as the Environment Bank enters its next stage of growth. Nigel was previously Finance Director for the National Rivers Authority and Environment Agency and has served on the boards of Natural England, Natural Resources Wales, the Marine Management Organisation, the Joint Nature Conservation Committee and the Animal and Plant Health Agency.
Tim has substantial domestic and international experience in ecological consultancy including a role as the Senior Director at RPS Group plc, a major FTSE environmental and engineering consultancy. Tim has also set up Danish group owned company NIRAS Consulting and is currently their Managing Director.
Richard Wheat and Rob Wreglesworth join as Biodiversity Project Officers to help with an expanding amount of casework. Richard and Rob have over 15 years combined consultancy experience in both the public and private sectors.
Rob joined the Environment Bank team in 2018 and works on biological impact assessments, offset site searches and delivery. Rob also has experience in botanical surveying and in creating habitat management plans which he helps to monitor and advise on for Environment Bank’s offset sites.
Rob has over 6 years experience working as an ecological consultant in the private sector.
