Event overview

Part of our popular BNG Breakfast series, this event will explore everything developers, planners, architects and ecologists need to know about BNG in your area.

February marked the anniversary of the biodiversity net gain (BNG) policy implementation and developers across England are discovering the best ways to approach the requirements. Join us for our latest breakfast event where we’ll be breaking down everything you need to know about BNG in your area.

We’ve carefully selected speakers with expertise to offer guidance on the planning, ecology, and legal aspects of the policy, along with everything they have learnt over the past year. They’ll be there to give an overview of BNG, explain its requirements, and set out the most effective options for BNG delivery available near to you.

To ensure you have ample opportunity to ask all your burning questions about BNG, attendance will be limited so you’ll be able to speak directly with leading BNG experts who are ready to offer their support.

We’ll also be giving an exclusive virtual tour of our Puddington Habitat Bank – the site is already generating off-site Biodiversity Units and unlocking development projects nearby.

Speakers

Lloyd Collins | Strategic Account Director | Environment Bank

Nathan will give us an overview on the BNG legal framework, providing essential clarity on how regulations and exemptions apply to different kinds of development. He will showcase Environment Bank’s national network of Habitat Banks, and present recent case studies to show how developers have used the Biodiversity Units generated at Environment Bank sites to meet their BNG planning requirements.

Mike Waller | Senior Ecologist | Environment Bank

Mike will showcase Environment Bank’s national network of Habitat Banks, focusing on a site near Exeter. He will take you through all habitat types that have been proposed for the site and all aspects relating to management and monitoring.
