How we deliver lasting outcomes for our clients

We combine in-house expertise across every discipline a nature project needs with practical experience of how those elements interact over a project’s life. Knowing which decisions matter, and when, lets us design projects that are deliverable from the outset and sustainable over the long term.

Ecologically sound and practically deliverable

Our ecologists design around local site conditions, habitat connectivity and the priorities set out for local nature recovery. Working alongside our land, finance, legal and commercial teams, they test how each design will be implemented and maintained, considering land agreements, budgets and management requirements together. The result is an ecological plan with viable delivery arrangements behind it.

Secure long-term funding

Gresham House’s backing gives us capital to establish Habitat Banks ahead of demand. Developer contributions cover the initial capital works and 30 years of management, and an evergreen bond with a UK high street bank secures financial viability for the project’s full duration. For bespoke projects, our finance team structures funding around creation, management and monitoring requirements.

Commitment and accountability

We translate ecological requirements into landowner agreements, delivery obligations and long-term management commitments, taking on agreed responsibility for habitat delivery, management, monitoring and reporting. Conservation covenants or planning agreements secure those obligations, with independent oversight from Responsible Bodies or Local Planning Authorities throughout the project’s life.

Flexible long-term management

Our ecologists oversee creation and ongoing management, working with landowners and delivery partners to put stewardship plans into practice. Monitoring identifies whether habitats are progressing towards agreed targets and where management needs refining, so findings translate into action on the ground.

Evidence

Baselines, targets and monitoring requirements are set around each project’s objectives, with habitat assessments, ecological surveys and natural capital modelling building a picture of progress. Reports and dashboards make that evidence accessible to your team. We distinguish anticipated benefits from observed results, so you can report and communicate credibly.
