Nature is now a business imperative

Global biodiversity loss is now being recognised as a threat to UK national security. For businesses, nature-related risks are rapidly moving from fringe concerns to material threats.

Consumers are demanding credible action, supply chain vulnerabilities are becoming increasingly magnified, and organisations across all sectors must respond in order to build long-term resilience.

The UK Nature Summit 2026 brought together industry experts, business leaders, and sustainability professionals to explore practical examples of organisations already leading on nature-positive action.

Hosted at the Castle Howard Estate in North Yorkshire, the summit explored the evolving nature recovery landscape, Biodiversity Net Gain delivery, and progress toward the Global Biodiversity Framework commitment to protect 30% of land and sea by 2030.
