From risk to opportunity: how nature-related risk is shaping investor decision-making

Date: Tuesday 29th April
Time: 11:00am – 12:00pm

Webinar overview

Is your business ready for a seismic shift in investor decision-making? Go beyond the balance sheet and join us as we explore how nature risks are shaping tomorrow’s investment landscape.

Along with Environment Bank’s Chief Land & Nature Officer, Emma Toovey, our guest speakers include an ESG engagement specialist from the corporate finance analysis firm S&P Global, a leader on nature strategy from the world’s largest management consultancy firm, McKinsey, and the Global Head of Sustainability at AXA XL. Together, we’ll be delving into the often-overlooked environmental risks that are now becoming financial imperatives.

Following our recent webinar where we unveiled a groundbreaking nature restoration project in action, this session will showcase the pioneering perspectives of finance experts who recognise that biodiversity loss, ecosystem damage, and resource scarcity are no longer peripheral concerns but core determinants of long-term value and risk.

Gain exclusive insight into how investors are prioritising nature-positive strategies, explore the best methodologies for assessing and managing nature risks, and see exactly how credit rating agencies like S&P Global are factoring environmental risk into their evaluations.

Learn why renowned business consultancies are treating nature-related exposures with increasing scrutiny and understand the direct impact nature risk will have on investment decisions and access to capital.

Beyond risk assessment, we’ll discuss the emerging opportunities for businesses to be proactive in their approach to nature. You’ll have the chance to see how innovative nature restoration projects can help manage nature risks (and more!) – enhancing business resilience and attracting investors keenly aware of the materiality of a nature-positive transition.

This webinar is your opportunity to understand the evolving expectations for businesses and to discover exactly how you can effectively integrate nature risk management into your corporate strategy. This will ensure you remain competitive and securely funded in a future where environmental and financial performance are inextricably linked.
